Who are the Food Cruisers? We are longtime friends. We are semi-retired and we like to eat. After years of getting together for breakfast with friends and family, we noticed the concentration of great places for breakfast on US 40, Colfax Avenue in Jefferson County. Inspired by breakfast out and by the active promotion of redevelopment along Colfax (including the activities of the 40W Business Improvement District, the 40W Arts District, and the renovation of the historic Casa Bonita Restaurant), we looked for a compilation of breakfast places. None existed, so we made our own. We had fun as our list of great places for breakfast along US 40 in Jefferson County took shape as a desktop calendar.

It is a snapshot in time of the ever-changing nature of Colfax Avenue and its diverse selection of breakfast restaurants. Updated calendars will be available every year as we enjoy ourselves sampling the restaurants and observing the changes on Colfax.
