Now, driving along US 40, each segment features its own character and history. On Colorado US 40 (aka Colfax Avenue), you will see ever-changing activity, buildings, commerce, and development.
In Jefferson County, Jeffco, as it’s known locally, food lovers will find that comfort foods rule the day on the drive along Colfax Avenue. Jeffco stretches 18 miles from east to west, starting at Sheridan Boulevard on the east, the border between the cities of Denver and Lakewood, and continues through Golden and Evergreen to the west. We invite you to take a year- long road trip through Jefferson County to check out the great places for breakfast featured in this calendar. Visit a different place each month!
In the City and County of Denver, on US 40 (aka Colfax Avenue), you will see an ever-changing cityscape. In Denver, Colfax is famous for a certain level of madness and mayhem, and at this time there are extra challenges associated with transit construction, one-way streets, bike-lane restrictions, and parking. If you are an adventurous food lover, and are prepared and persevere, you will be rewarded with an array of delicious flavors from many cultures. We invite you to take a year-long nine-mile road trip through the City and County of Denver to check out the great places for breakfast featured in this calendar. Some selections are a block or two off Colfax. Visit a different place each month!
The U S 40 Breakfast Club is proud to be associated with Colorado Free University (CFU) as we explore the great places for breakfast along US Route 40. We will be meeting at a different place each month. You can sign up through the CFU online registration. Once you get to the CFU website, search for “breakfast club” to see the choices.

$20 materials fee paid in first class. The instructors will send specific address and directions for the restaurant to participants on the Tuesday before class. Be ready to pay for your breakfast and leave a tip for the staff.
